Summary: longtime advocate for prisoners who was freed following a wrongful murder conviction and spent nearly 10 years in prisons after being convicted in 1980 of murder and aggravated robbery, but who was released after it was revealed that prosecutors had failed to inform defense lawyers that a woman who claimed Brown had confessed to her was a convicted prejurer, and who then founded Mothers (Fathers) for Advancement of Social Systems, Inc. a non-profit group that helps former prison inmates.
